We’re proud to announce the successful completion of Phase 5 of the RDC project, a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to improve road infrastructure and connectivity across Newham.
This latest phase, which involved the resurfacing of key routes through the area, saw 700 tonnes of asphalt laid, delivering safer, smoother, and more accessible roads for residents, businesses, and visitors alike. With the final layer now complete, the entire Phase 5 programme has officially been delivered.
A True Team Effort
From initial planning to final line marking, this phase has been a real collaboration between teams on the ground, project planners, and local stakeholders. The successful completion of Phase 5 reflects the dedication, expertise, and teamwork of everyone involved — and it’s been incredibly rewarding to see the transformation taking shape.
Not only does this work enhance road safety and surface quality, but it also plays an important role in supporting the continued growth and development of Newham. As the area evolves, investing in essential infrastructure like this ensures the borough remains connected, accessible, and future-ready.
Looking Ahead
With Phase 5 now completed, attention turns to the next stages of the RDC programme. Each phase moves us closer to delivering a comprehensive network of modern, resilient roads that meet the needs of a growing community.
We’d like to thank all our teams, partners, and the local community for their patience and support throughout the works — your cooperation makes these improvements possible.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue working towards a better, safer, and more connected Newham.
Together, we’re building better.
