Bridging the Gap: Progress on the Enfield Town to Broxbourne Walking & Cycling Route

At Kenson Highways, we’re proud to be working on behalf of Enfield Council’s Journeys and Places team to help deliver the Enfield Town to Broxbourne Walking & Cycling Route—a key active travel project designed to improve connections for cyclists and pedestrians.

Yesterday, we hit an exciting milestone: the successful installation of the bridge deck over Turkey Brook. This marks a significant step in the project, ensuring safer, more accessible routes for sustainable travel.

What’s Next?

With the bridge deck now in place, our next focus is the installation of the parapets, scheduled for today. This will bring us even closer to completing this crucial infrastructure improvement.

A Collaborative Effort

None of this would be possible without the dedication and hard work of our skilled team, working closely with Enfield Council Journeys and Places Team. Their commitment ensures we continue to deliver high-quality infrastructure that benefits the local community.

Why This Matters

Active travel routes like this one provide safer, greener, and more accessible ways to travel, supporting Enfield Council’s commitment to sustainability and improved connectivity. By enhancing walking and cycling infrastructure, we’re helping to create a healthier and more environmentally friendly transport network.

Stay tuned for more updates as we approach project completion!
