Kenson Highways is proud to announce the successful completion of a seven-night resurfacing programme on High Street North in Newham. Spanning 4000m², the project was delivered on schedule and to a high standard, improving one of the borough’s key thoroughfares with minimal disruption to residents, businesses, and road users.
Project Overview
Conducted over a series of consecutive night shifts, this project formed part of a wider effort to enhance road safety and surface quality across the borough. High Street North is a critical link in Newham’s transport infrastructure, and it was essential that the resurfacing be carried out efficiently, with consideration for both traffic flow and the local community.
By working during overnight hours, our teams ensured that daytime activity could continue as normal, helping to support the surrounding high street and reduce overall disruption.
Scope of Work
The programme covered a comprehensive range of resurfacing and maintenance activities, including:
- Full carriageway planing, base and surface reconstruction
- Replacement of several manhole covers and valve boxes
- Resetting and adjustment of over 20 ironworks
- Gully cleansing in collaboration with the London Borough of Newham
- Completion of new road markings across the resurfaced areas
All works were carried out in line with safety protocols and best practices, ensuring long-term durability and improved road performance.
Collaboration and Delivery
This successful delivery reflects the expertise, coordination, and dedication of all teams involved. From our operational crews to the support provided by the local authority, this project exemplifies how effective partnership and meticulous planning can result in a seamless execution—even on high-traffic urban routes.
Continued Commitment
At Kenson Highways, we remain committed to delivering infrastructure solutions that prioritise safety, quality, and longevity. The completion of this project is one of many steps in our ongoing mission to enhance the UK’s road network through reliable and sustainable highways maintenance.
We thank all parties involved in supporting this scheme and look forward to continuing our work improving infrastructure for the communities we serve.
