Supporting Local Community Spirit at Enfield’s St. George’s Day Carnival

At Kenson Highways, community engagement is an important part of who we are. We take pride in supporting local organisations and initiatives that bring people together, and this past weekend was a fantastic example of that in action.

We were honoured to assist the 2nd Enfield Scout Group as they took part in the annual St. George’s Day Carnival in Enfield Town — a wonderful celebration of local heritage and community spirit.

To help the Scouts make a memorable appearance in the parade, Kenson Highways provided a digger, driver, and hi-vis safety equipment. In true creative spirit, the Scouts transformed our digger into an eye-catching dragon-themed float, perfectly fitting the theme of St. George’s Day. It was a fantastic sight to see and brought plenty of smiles to the crowds gathered for the occasion.

The day itself was a great success, with a strong turnout from the local community. Visitors enjoyed a range of activities, from market stalls and games to live performances by brass and pipe bands, creating a lively, festive atmosphere throughout Enfield Town.

We would like to congratulate the 2nd Enfield Scout Group for their enthusiasm, creativity, and hard work in bringing their float to life, and extend our thanks to the event organisers for hosting such a well-run and enjoyable day for the community.

As a business, we’re proud to play our part in supporting events like these that celebrate local pride and encourage community involvement. We look forward to continuing our partnerships with groups and initiatives that make a positive difference in the areas where we work.

Well done to everyone involved!
