Royal Docks Corridor Nearing Completion

Kenson Highways is pleased to see the Beckton Corridor scheme progressing towards completion, with the final finishing touches now being delivered across the project.

Works are currently underway to complete the buff surface layer on the dedicated footpath, alongside asphalt surfacing for the new cycle lane, marking a major milestone in the delivery of this important infrastructure improvement scheme.

The project has been focused on creating safer, smoother and more accessible routes for pedestrians and cyclists throughout the area. Once complete, the upgraded corridor will provide improved walking and cycling facilities, enhanced road surfaces, upgraded lighting and stronger connections from Beckton DLR through to Beckton Park and surrounding areas.

As part of the wider vision for sustainable transport across the borough, the scheme will also contribute towards future connectivity with the Royal Docks Corridor. This long-term ambition will help create a continuous, high-quality route linking communities, transport hubs and key destinations across Newham.

Projects such as this play an important role in encouraging active travel, improving accessibility and supporting safer journeys for residents, commuters and visitors alike.

Kenson Highways is proud to support the delivery of infrastructure that leaves a lasting positive impact on local communities, and we would like to thank our teams, partners and stakeholders for their continued hard work and collaboration throughout the project.
