At Kenson Highways, we are committed to creating a positive impact within the communities we serve by combining innovation, sustainability and meaningful social value initiatives.
As part of our ongoing trial of a new 4-wheel electric cargo bike, we have recently put the vehicle to practical use in support of the Newham Community Project — an organisation that provides essential support to local families and individuals in need.
Working together, our team prepared and delivered a range of food parcels designed to support families facing hardship across the borough. The parcels were carefully assembled to reflect a wide range of dietary, cultural and household needs, demonstrating the thoughtfulness, care and dedication of our colleagues in responding to genuine community priorities.
Kenson Highways fully funded the initiative as part of our wider commitment to giving back to the communities in which we operate. The use of the electric cargo bike also highlights how sustainable solutions can be integrated into everyday operations while supporting local outreach and community engagement activities.
The cargo bike continues to play an important role within our sustainability trial, helping us explore greener and more efficient ways of delivering services and supporting local initiatives across multiple boroughs.
Projects such as this demonstrate how small, practical actions can make a meaningful difference to people’s lives while reinforcing the importance of collaboration, community support and environmental responsibility.
We would like to thank everyone involved for their hard work, generosity and continued commitment to the values that drive Kenson Highways forward.
